Inspiring Inclusive Enriching

In early 2020 we were awarded funding from the Science and Technology Facilities Council to open a venue on Ramsgate High Street in partnership with the University of Kent. From Discovery Planet HQ the grant enables us to deliver a programme of free science workshops, linked to cutting-edge research, to schools and the wider community. The grant is part of STFC’s ‘Wonder Initiative’ which is about connecting people from all backgrounds with science and technology. In Year 1, over 2,600 local people have taken part in inspiring, hands-on workshop activities, led by research scientists working at the forefront of progress.
