As part of a DCLG, Coastal Communities funded initiative to boost the visitor economy, we treated people to planetarium shows and an explanation of how the stars were once used to guide mariners. Visitors then followed a treasure hunt around Ramsgate Harbour & some of its astonishing heritage features. We placed a few historic characters along the way to bring history to life and build an appreciation of the town and it's place over time. Thanks go out to the Christ Church congregation, RNLI, Sailors Church, St Augustine's Church, Thanet Stargazers, and Ramsgate Tunnels for collaborating to make this a true community affair.
